Chocolate Peanut Butter Icebox Cake

I've been on a bit of an old fashioned cake kick lately, and you have to know that any cake with the word "icebox" in it is going to be most definitely old fashioned.  I love that word.  It reminds me of my sweet Grandma Gail.  She used that word often.  She also used the word "oleo" and had a mangler in her laundry room.

So in honor of her and the extraordinarily warm days we are still experiencing, I thought I would try my hand at this delicious recipe from Heather Christo.  And delicious it was.  Super easy and no oven make for a happy girl on a hot day. I recently made this for a gathering of girlfriends and their kids and it was devoured in seconds.  If you make it for a crowd, I would consider easily making two.

You can find Heather's recipe here: Chocolate Peanut Butter Icebox Cake.
And while you are there check out her lovely site and all of her truly amazing recipes and gorgeous photos.

Now to go find the oleo.
